	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 25/10/2017 answer text <p>The Government wants to see an efficient, productive and competitive domestic farming industry able to grow more, sell more and export more British food.</p><p> </p><p>The latest round of funding under the Rural Development Programme for England includes £120 million for targeted investments that improve farm productivity, including new buildings and machinery. Defra is also funding four Genetic Improvement Network programmes, at a cost of over £1 million per year.
