	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 11/07/2017 answer text <p>The Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) has repeatedly stated its intention to develop and deploy nuclear weapons and has conducted ballistic missile tests in violation of UN Security Council Resolutions. The Department regularly updates its assessments of such programmes and the threat they may pose, but these assessments are not made public.
