It does not make loans directly to businesses. Instead, it works with private sector delivery partners to deliver all of its programmes, allowing it to pull in significant amounts of private sector funding.</p><p>The Bank’s programmes are already supporting businesses in Northern Ireland. Through the Start Up Loans programme 205 loans have already been offered to start-up businesses in Northern Ireland with a total value of nearly £1m. The Gillingham and Rainham constituency has benefitted from a number of support schemes. The Business Bank’s Start-Up Loan programme has already provided 15 loans, with a value of £88,800 to people starting a business in Gillingham and Rainham. The Office for Nuclear Regulation (ONR) regulates safety and security at UK licenced nuclear sites and site licensees are required to demonstrate appropriate security plans against a range of relevant threats, which are updated on an on-going basis. Friend the Secretary of State for Business, Innovation and Skills to vary or revoke export licences at any time. The 2008 Order does not specify the grounds on which a licence may be revoked.
