A further £3 million investment was announced in March 2015.</p><br /><p>The Government remains committed to improving stem cell transplantation services and doing all we can to help those in need of a transplant to find a suitable donor. Therefore it is important that individuals carefully consider the implications of giving these guarantees up before proceeding with a decision to transfer out to access their benefits flexibly.</p><p> </p><p>The independent financial advice £30,000 threshold applies to transfers out of all funded defined benefit schemes, including public sector schemes such as the Local Government Pension Scheme. Officials are developing the plans for engagement with businesses, and views on the key barriers to resource efficiency and ideas for addressing these will be welcome.</p><p> </p><p>The online IsItWaste tool for self-assessment for the definition of waste currently has 981 assessments registered. This is cumulative since 2013. The independent research, the largest of its kind to be undertaken in Great Britain, was jointly funded by Department for Business, Innovation and Skills and the EHRC.
