answer text <p>We lobby for the protection of human rights directly with the Government of Côte d'Ivoire and work closely with local civil society and human rights defenders, particularly on good governance issues, including media and civil society freedom, encouraging political reconciliation and stability, as well as the rights of women and girls. Côte d'Ivoire held municipal elections in September 2023 that were generally considered free and fair. The Ivorian Government's National Development Plan has ambitious plans to tackle gender inequalities and gender-based violence. Maternal mortality rates have significantly reduced. The recent Africa Cup of Nations included campaigns against corruption and harassment.</p> more like this

answer text <p>Performers such as actors and musicians have their performances protected under Part II of the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988, as amended. Sections 182 and 182A of the Act give performers the right to control who is able to record and make reproductions of their performances. answer text <p>In England, veterans are able to access both mainstream and veteran specific services. There are several bespoke veterans’ services in place to meet the needs of military personnel, veterans and their families. This includes very strong mental health support, known as ‘Op COURAGE: The Veterans Mental Health and Wellbeing Service’, which has received over 16,000 referrals to date. Together these services provide a complete mental health care pathway for veterans with individuals benefitting from personalised care plans, ensuring they can access support and treatment both in and out of hours.</p><p>The Government has committed an additional £2.7 million to expand these services which will directly benefit at-risk veterans, some of whom may have been impacted by the recent events in Afghanistan.</p> more like this

answer text <p>Clinical commissioning groups (CCGs) are the only National Health Service organisation which legal directions can be applied to. There are currently five CCGs subject to NHS England directions. answer text <p>The Department for Transport is allocating £1.3billion capital funding between 2015 and 2021 to local highway authorities that fall within the Northern Powerhouse for local highways maintenance. This funding can be used to repair potholes. The funding is not ring-fenced and it is entirely for each highway authority to decide, based on their needs and priorities, as to how this funding is spent. In addition the funding the Department for Transport allocated to local highway authorities in England to improve road conditions was £1 billion more over the last Parliament compared to what was provided between 2005 and 2010.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>Local authorities are able to use revenue funding for maintaining their local highways and this is allocated by the Department of Communities and Local Government through the Revenue Support Grant.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>The Department for Transport is funding a local highways maintenance project in Sheffield as well as street lighting schemes in Blackpool, Knowsley, Leeds, Manchester, Newcastle, North Tyneside, Oldham, Redcar &amp; Cleveland, Rochdale, South Tyneside, Sunderland and Wakefield, through the Private Finance Initiative.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>In addition we are also allocating £2.9 billion for improvements to the strategic road network within the Northern Powerhouse managed by Highways England as set out in the Road Investment Strategy published in March 2015 for the period between 2015 and 2020.</p><p> </p>
