The Forum is separate from the Oil and Gas Industry Council, who have responsibility for the Oil and Gas Industrial Strategy, in partnership with BIS.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>The Oil and Gas Industrial Strategy is kept under review by the Oil and Gas Industry Council. The Council met in November 2014 and is due to meet next in March 2015.</p><p> </p> more like this

unstar this property answer text <p>The government recognises the importance of the UK oil and gas industry and its contribution to energy security and the UK economy. We are committed to the future of the industry and creating the right conditions to maximise economic recovery.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>At Autumn Statement, the government published a radical plan for the future of the oil and gas fiscal regime and set out a package of measures, including the reduction in the rate of the Supplementary Charge, to tackle the fiscal challenges and ensure the UKCS continues to attract investment, simplify the current system, and remove barriers at all stages of the production life cycle. The package is expected to drive around £7bn of additional investment and 350m barrels of oil equivalent production.</p><p> </p> more like this

In recognition of the importance of Child Benefit and its key role within family budgets in this country, the Prime Minister pledged before the election that this Government will not cut Child Benefit. It is a signal to the food and drink industry that the Government is willing to take action to help cut sugar intakes.</p><p> </p><p>Public health experts have widely identified sugar-sweetened soft drinks as a specific, major factor in childhood obesity. There are no current plans to extend the levy to other foods or drinks, or introduce a general sugar tax.</p> more like this

Apprentices can take around 18 months to complete their training and have the option to go on to pursue further higher level apprenticeship qualifications.</p><p> </p><p>Of the apprentices starting in the period since April 2015, 52% are still currently apprentices, 26% have been provided permanent roles within HMT and 22% have left the organisation. Of those leaving the organisation, some of these will not have completed their apprenticeship and some of these will have gone on to other roles within the Civil Service. However, we do not hold full information on how many are currently permanent employees within the civil service.</p>
