	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 10/11/2014 answer text <p>We are working closely with local authorities, with support from the Environment Agency, to ensure the effective delivery and deliver the maximum benefit for the ‘Repair and Renew’ grant. We are aware of a number of collaborative applications that will have multiple beneficiaries. These demonstrate particularly effective use of the grant.</p><p>The scheme is still running. All local authorities must claim reimbursement for grant payments from Defra by 31 March 2015. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 27/10/2014 answer text <p>The Drinking Water Inspectorate, Environment Agency and Ofwat (Water Services Regulation Authority) are responsible for ensuring that contraventions of the Water Industry Act 1991 are detected. In discharging their functions they undertake inspections, check compliance, review plans and reports, investigate incidents and act upon their findings. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 07/11/2014 answer text <p>We have not received any recent representation from park home owners on this topic.</p><p> </p><p>The majority of premises either receive their water and sewerage services from a water company or a reseller. A customer of a water company can request (under the Water Industry Act 1991) a water meter and if it is not feasible to fit one (due to it being impractical or unduly costly) they will be moved across to an assessed charge. The assessed charge should ‘bear as much relation as possible to the volumes of water such customers would be likely to use’ and are normally based on the average metered bill for the area or the number of bedrooms.</p><p> </p><p>Those customers of resellers (and this can include sheltered accommodation, housing association properties, flats above commercial premises, caravan parks and park homes) can ask for a meter to be fitted but there is no legal requirement on the reseller to do this.</p><p> </p><p>The industry regulator, Ofwat, regulates the resale market through The Water Resale Order 2006 (section 150 of the Water Industry Act 1991) and provides examples on how the charges should be apportioned.</p> answering member constituency North Cornwall answering member printed Dan Rogerson question first answered 07/11/2014 14:15:11 answering member 1504 label Biography information for Dan Rogerson

	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 10/11/2014 answer text <p>The EU Timber Regulation (EUTR) prevents the trade of illegally-harvested timber in the EU by laying obligation on operators who place timber and timber products on the market, and those who subsequently trade in them. It was implemented in the UK by the Timber and Timber Products (Placing on the Market) Regulations in March 2013.</p><p>Independent assessments by the European Commission and WWF rank the UK’s efforts on tackling the trade in illegal timber and our domestic implementation of the EUTR as amongst the best in EU Member States.</p><p>To be fully effective in keeping illegally harvested timber and timber products out of the EU all Member States need to implement the EUTR. The legislation applies to all timber and timber products in scope of the regulation, including illegally-harvested timber from the Brazilian Amazon.</p><p>In the UK, the National Measurement Office (NMO) is the competent authority for the EUTR. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 11/11/2014 answer text <p>The Government-funded New Dimension project saw the deployment of 50 High Volume Pumps (HVP) positioned across the country, with 46 allocated to 38 English Fire and Rescue Services and four in Scotland; an additional Strategic HVP was located centrally. There are four mobile HVPs in Wales. Under the Fire Rescue Service mutual aid arrangements Wales also have access to all of the strategic assets in England. The planning assumptions for a major incident involving man made or natural flooding, assumes a minimum of one HVP will be mobilised to respond to an incident within a maximum of two hours of request.</p><p> </p><p>The Environment Agency holds a range of strategic incident response supplies at its depots across England, including:</p><p> </p><p>· three 12 inch pumps</p><p> </p><p>· six24 inch pumps</p><p> </p><p>· 425 smaller mobile pumps</p><p> </p><p>· 3.8km of demountable and temporary flood defences</p><p> </p><p>· 21 sandbag machines</p><p> </p><p>The larger 12 and 24 inch pumps can be deployed within 24 hours. A person guilty of this offence is liable on summary conviction to a fine not exceeding level 4 on the standard scale or twice the sum which appears to the court to be the value of the tree, whichever is the higher. The standard scale of fines was introduced into the Forestry Act by the Criminal Justice Act 1982.</p><p> </p><p>Changes to the standard scale are made the Ministry of Justice and apply uniformly across all offences using the standard scale.
