Where taxpayers’ money is misused, we expect our partners to take firm and immediate action and that partners with which we work protect the UK aid funds for which they are responsible, whilst acting with honesty and with integrity at all times. Any allegations of fraud and or corruption are subject to robust investigation.</p><p> </p><p>In January 2018, allegations of fraud and corruption arose in the Uganda Refugee Operation. Adolescent girls are amongst the target group.</p><p>By December 2019, 377,003 children had been reached with protective services under phase one and two of the programme. Disaggregated data on sex was not available for phase one and not available for adolescence age in both phases. We also estimate 100,000 coronavirus cases, which are quickly overwhelming Yemen’s depleted healthcare system. The UK recently pledged £160m to support Yemen, bringing our contribution to almost £1bn since 2015. Ultimately, the crisis must be addressed through a political settlement. More than 20 million people in Yemen do not have reliable access to food and almost 10 million people face extreme food shortages.</p><p>The UK is increasingly concerned by the constraints placed on the international humanitarian response in Houthi-controlled areas of northern Yemen. The number of food insecure people has also risen from 17 million to over 20 million and for the first time, there are people (almost 240,000) in the most severe food security category, IPC 5 - at high risk of death.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>The UK is providing £170 million in response to the humanitarian crisis in Yemen this financial year, including food for the equivalent of 4 million Yemenis for one month. Our funding over the next three years will screen 2.2 million children under the age of five for malnutrition and provide urgent treatment for 70,000 of the most vulnerable children. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 02/07/2020 answer text <p>Yemen remains a key priority for the UK Government.</p><p>I announced that the UK will commit £160 million of new aid for the current financial year (2020/21) at the 2020 Yemen Humanitarian Pledging Conference on 2 June.
