	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 22/11/2022 answer text <p><del class="ministerial">This system will not introduce significant delays either for individuals entering the asylum system, or the asylum system as a whole.</del></p><p><del class="ministerial">In recent years we have made progress in prioritising older claims, high harm cases, those cases with extreme vulnerability, children and new flow cases following the introduction of the Nationality &amp; Borders Act, whilst those in receipt of support are a priority for caseworkers considering legacy cases.</del></p><p><del class="ministerial">The significant increase in dangerous journeys across the Channel is placing unprecedented strain on our asylum system and it has made it necessary to continue to use hotels to accommodate some asylum seekers. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 04/12/2017 answer text <p>Melanin is not controlled under the Misuse of Drugs Act 1971 so no advice is given by the Home Office to people travelling abroad with this substance.</p><p> </p><p>For other medicines, which contain controlled drugs and have been prescribed to them personally, travellers are always advised to check with the relevant foreign embassy or high commission before travel to ascertain the legality of the product in the destination country and any applicable licensing requirements. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 13/03/2020 answer text <p>The legal framework for the prosecution of hate crimes in England and Wales includes provisions in the Crime and Disorder Act 1998 and the Criminal Justice Act 2003 to increase sentences where the offence is found to have been aggravated in relation to hostility on the grounds of race, religion, sexual orientation, disability or transgender identity. For example, common assault (non-aggravated) carries a maximum sentence of 6 months imprisonment, whilst racially or religiously aggravated common assault carries a maximum two years imprisonment. These provisions are clearly highlighted in the relevant sentencing guidelines.</p><p>The Government has asked the Law Commission to undertake a review of the legislation related to hate crime, which will report in early 2021. The review is considering parity in the existing legislation and the case for additional characteristics to be protected by legislation.
