Funding confirmed at the last Spending Review was on top of the £33 billion for the historic long-term NHS settlement announced in 2018. Taken together with the £8 billion funding announced at the 2021 Autumn Statement, which was announced to enable rapid action to improve emergency, elective and primary care performance, the NHS resource budget in England will increase to £165.9 billion in 2024/25, a £38.9 billion cash increase over the parliament. The PRBs consider a range of evidence when forming their recommendations, including the need to recruit, retain and motivate suitably able and qualified people; the financial circumstances of government; the government’s policies for improving public services; and the government’s inflation target. They consider the whole remuneration package of those working in the public sector when forming their recommendations, including the substantially more generous pensions available, on average, for public sector workers.</p><p> </p><p>As part of the PRB process, HM Treasury publishes economic evidence to PRBs. HM Treasury published its economic evidence to PRBs for the 2023/24 pay round in January. This set out the economic, labour market and fiscal context within which we ask the independent PRBs to consider their recommendations for 2023-24 pay awards. We expect these organisations to commission fertility services in line with National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) guidelines, ensuring equal access to fertility treatment across England.</p><p>The Women’s Health Strategy was published on 20 July 2022 and contained a number of important changes and future ambitions to improve the variations in access to National Health Service-funded fertility services.</p><p>In addition, NICE is currently reviewing its fertility guidelines and will consider whether the current recommendations for access to NHS-funded treatment and preservation are still appropriate. MDP officers have full powers and privileges of constables in any place in the UK, when exercising these powers within the places and circumstances described in Section 2 of the Act.</p><p>Service Police statutory powers are conferred by the Armed Forces Act 2006.
