It is important that the full facts are established. The UN Commission of Inquiry has responsibility for investigating alleged violations of international law in Syria. Turkey briefed NATO allies on its operation on 16 October and the Defence Secretary discussed the situation in north-east Syria with other NATO Defence Ministers last week. It is important that all parties work to resolve their political differences peacefully and in line with the Spanish legal framework and constitution. The Government has been clear that the situation in the Autonomous Community of Catalonia is a matter for Spain, and that questions related to the issue of independence should be resolved within the proper constitutional and legal channels. Since July, Iran has exceeded key JCPoA limits on uranium enrichment, uranium stockpiles and on 7 September announced suspension of the JCPoA's nuclear research and development restrictions. We are deeply concerned by Iran's steps to reduce compliance with the deal. PSD officials meet with the MPS frequently to discuss anticipated or ongoing issues, which can include intimidation of Parliamentarians and staff by protestors when entering and leaving the estate.</p><p>PSD holds a weekly meeting with the MPS, Black Rod and the Serjeant at Arms to assess forthcoming events for potential issues around access and security, enabling PSD and MPS responses to be updated accordingly. For security reasons we do not provide details of security arrangements.</p><p>When high levels of protest activity are expected, Parliamentarians are sent communications advising them of access information and security advice.
