Paragraph 16 of the introduction and Chapter 6 of the Cabinet Manual make clear that the judiciary is independent of both the government of the day and Parliament. All ministers have access to legal advice in relation to their statutory duties, including advice where appropriate from Law Officers.</p><p>The Lord Chancellor has taken an Oath to respect the rule of law and defend the independence of the judiciary, which means that if required he will remind Ministerial colleagues of the importance of judicial independence and the rule of law. On 26 September, the UK co-hosted a political event at the UN General Assembly to coordinate the international community’s support for the UN-led peace process and endorse the UN Special Envoy Martin Griffiths’ plan to begin wider political discussion. Highways England has announced a preferred route which covers the:</p><ul><li><p>Mottram Moor link road;</p></li><li><p>A57(T) to A57 link road;</p></li><li><p>A616/A61(T) Westwood roundabout; and,</p></li><li><p>Safety and technology improvements along the route.</p></li></ul><p>The Department for Transport, in conjunction with Highways England and Transport for the North, is undertaking a study looking at the long term strategic road connection requirements to link the areas of Greater Manchester and South Yorkshire to transform journeys and enhance connectivity across the southern Pennines. This includes consideration of a trans-Pennine tunnel. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 08/10/2019 answer text <p>The most common cause of unplanned admissions from the most recent data available (2018/19) was for those with primary diagnosis of diseases of the digestive system.</p><p>As part of the NHS Long Term Plan there are five workstreams that underpin the Urgent and Emergency Care reform programme. As part of this programme steps taken to reduce the need for admissions have included Same Day Emergency Care which has increased the proportion of people who are not admitted overnight in an emergency.
