answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 21/08/2019 answer text <p>As set out in the technical notice, the Government’s primary goal is to ensure that the UK patent system continues to function effectively in the event of a no deal exit. This requires a small amount of legislative change. In February 2019, Parliament approved the <a href="http://www.legislation.gov.uk/uksi/2019/801/made" target="_blank">Patents (Amendment) (EU Exit) Regulations 2019</a>, which corrected deficiencies in retained EU law relating to patents. The Government has since published <a href="https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/changes-to-spc-and-patent-law-if-uk-leaves-the-eu-without-a-deal/" target="_blank">guidance for business</a> on these changes. It continues to engage with stakeholders on the impacts of exit and preparation for a no deal scenario.</p><p> </p><p>A further statutory instrument is required to address inoperabilities in a new piece of patents-related EU legislation which entered into force earlier this month. The Government has since published further guidance for businesses and consumers. MHCLG publishes experimental statistics on statutory homelessness reflecting local authorities’ duties towards homeless people. This collection does not include information on individuals not helped by the local authority.</p><p>This year through the Rough Sleeping Initiative, MHCLG have provided a total of £46 million funding to 264 local authorities, including Lambeth, and a number of London boroughs, in order to support people off the streets in their areas. This will be used to provide 2,600 beds for rough sleepers and 750 outreach and specialist staff.</p><p>The Government is committed to reducing homelessness and rough sleeping. No one should ever have to sleep rough. That is why last summer we published the cross-government Rough Sleeping Strategy. This sets out an ambitious £100 million package to help people who sleep rough now, but also puts in place the structures that will end rough sleeping once and for all. Separate figures for crime are not available. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 31/07/2019 answer text <p>The Government has pledged to continue to commit the same cash total in funds for farm support until the end of this Parliament, expected in 2022; this includes all funding provided for farm support under both Pillar 1 and Pillar 2 of the current Common Agricultural Policy (CAP). This commitment applies to the whole of the UK.</p><p> </p><p>The Government has further guaranteed that the current level of agricultural funding under CAP Pillar 1 will be upheld until 2020, as part of the transition to new domestic arrangements.</p><p> </p><p>To deliver this, Defra has made a number of statutory instruments under the powers in the European Union (Withdrawal) Act 2018. Only export licences under UK legislation will be needed.</li></ul><p> </p><ul><li>The existing statutory guidance will be amended. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 26/07/2019 answer text <p>The Tobacco Products and Nicotine Inhaling Products (Amendment etc.) (EU Exit) Regulations 2018 Statutory instrument (SI) was laid on 1 November 2018. The primary purpose of the SI is to ensure tobacco control legislation continues to function effectively after exit day, in the event that the United Kingdom leaves the European Union without a deal. In particular, the amendments contained in this instrument allow for necessary changes to the picture warnings on tobacco products and the process by which tobacco products and e-cigarettes are notified to Public Health England and the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency, respectively.</p><p>The European Commission holds the copyright to the library of picture warnings used on tobacco packaging, therefore in the event of the UK leaving the EU without a deal we would no longer be able to access the library. An agreement was reached with the Australian Government for a licence to use their tobacco picture warnings in a ‘no deal’ scenario.
