answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 16/05/2019 answer text <p>When an individual suffering from domestic abuse requests a split payment, we will make split payments available to them.</p><p> </p><p>Whilst DWP is not intending to introduce split payments by default, as a department we respond positively to requests for split payments, and can take other actions to support those experiencing abuse, such as making a managed payment of rent direct to landlords. We also ensure that claimants who disclose domestic abuse are signposted to specialist organisations for support. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 16/05/2019 answer text <p>Government is actively supporting good quality flexible working, of which home working can be part, and the provision of co-working spaces.</p><p>We have set up, with the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development, the Flexible Working Taskforce to promote wider understanding and implementation of inclusive flexible work and working practices. In January this year the Taskforce published a business case, supporting guidance and its members committed to support and promote the “Happy to Talk Flexible Working” campaign.</p><p>We have committed to consult on a new duty on employers to consider when a job can be done flexibly, and make that clear when advertising.</p><p>We have also committed to review the statutory right to request flexible working in 2020 and have commissioned some of the surveys to gather data for that work.</p><p>Through the Local Enterprise Partnership we promote economic growth and jobs in local areas. In order to deliver this objective, some LEPs have supported the creation of co-working spaces alongside advice and other support for business start-ups. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 21/05/2019 answer text <p>Network Rail’s lineside engineers and surveyors consider a range of factors as part of their routine assessment of lineside trees, and whether these are considered safety critical or not. In the last year, there were more than a thousand incidents where trees caused disruption to the network, which in some cases resulted in injuries among train drivers and members of the public. Factors include the condition of the trees themselves, any identifiable hazards to oncoming trains and the safety risks associated with leaves on the line. This figure incorporates monetised benefits relating to the extension of the right to request to all employees with 26 weeks continuous service and therefore does not take into account the flexible working among parents and carers that was already taking place prior to the extension.</p><p> </p><p>We are currently reviewing the 2014 extension of the right to request Flexible working to all eligible employees. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 16/05/2019 answer text <p>The Department considers all aspects that may affect the rail and road network when assessing the changes of demand for the future.</p><p> </p><ol><li><p>The Department updated its rail forecasting guidance in 2016 to take into account different trip rates for people in different age groups and occupations. This was based on analysis of the National Travel Survey. The Department continues to review its forecasts, including analysing the impact of flexible working. The Departments’ guidance feeds into business cases for rail investments and franchise analysis. The guidance is called ‘WebTAG’ and is published on the Department’s website</p></li><li><p>The ‘Latest Evidence on Factors Impacting Road Traffic Growth’ review published by the Department in May 2018 included reviews of tele-commuting and the impact of e-commerce and social media on travel. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 21/05/2019 answer text <p>The Government wants patients to be able to benefit from access to effective new treatments as quickly as possible.</p><p>Through its technology appraisal and highly specialised technologies guidance, the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) makes authoritative, evidence-based recommendations on whether medicines and other treatments represent a clinically and cost effective use of National Health Service resources. NHS organisations are legally required to make funding available for NICE recommended treatments, usually within three months of final guidance.</p><p>Wherever possible, NICE currently aims to publish recommendations on new drugs as soon as possible after licensing, with draft guidance on cancer drugs published in advance of licensing.
