answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 08/01/2018 answer text <p>The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) is responsible for the enforcement of the Reporting of Injuries, Diseases and Dangerous Occurrences Regulations 2013 (RIDDOR), which requires employers to report certain injuries to employees. The type of clothing or jewellery worn does not determine whether an injury must be reported, and HSE do not hold any data on this issue. HSE would only advise on clothing or jewellery in the workplace where there is an identified risk to a work activity. We continue to make our concerns clear to the Russian Government at a senior level; most recently I raised this with First Deputy Foreign Minister Vladimir Titov in Moscow on 8 December. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 14/12/2017 answer text <p>The Clean Growth Strategy, published recently, sets out Government’s aspiration that as many homes as possible will be upgraded to an Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) band C by 2035, where practical, cost-effective and affordable. In the Clean Growth Strategy, published in October this year, we set out a number of policies and proposals that will help us make progress against this aspiration, including:</p><p> </p><p>1. Investing around £3.6 billion to upgrade around a million homes through the Energy Company Obligation (ECO). In addition, we will extend support for home energy efficiency beyond the current commitment to fund ECO to 2022 and out to 2028 with funding at least at current ECO levels.</p><p> </p><p>2. Developing a long term trajectory to improve the energy performance standards of privately rented homes, with the aim of upgrading as many as possible to EPC Band C by 2030 where practical, cost-effective and affordable</p><p> </p><p>3. Consulting on equivalent standards for social housing over this period</p><p> </p><p>4. Following the outcome of the independent review of Building Regulations and fire safety, and subject to its conclusions, we will consult on strengthening energy performance standards for new and existing homes under Building Regulations, including futureproofing new homes for low carbon heating systems,</p><p> </p><p>5. Seeking evidence on building a market for energy efficiency, including additional measures to improve energy performance of owner occupied homes through a Call for Evidence published alongside the Clean Growth Strategy. Those who are granted permission to work are restricted to jobs on the Shortage Occupation List. The policy is designed to protect the resident labour market so that access to employment is prioritised for British citizens and lawful residents, including those granted refugees status. We have no plans to change this policy.</p><p> </p><p>The data requested on the number of asylum seekers granted permission to work is only held on paper case files or within the notes sections of the Home Office's databases. We are working closely with the Home Office to ensure that newly granted refugees are aware of this and receive support to make a claim to benefit where needed.</p><p> </p><p>While bank accounts do remain DWP’s preferred method of payment, it is recognised that some customers including refugees, may have difficulty accessing or opening an account before their first payment of benefit is due. In such cases DWP can make payments via alternative methods such as Post Office card accounts, Simple Payments or into a third party account. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 29/11/2017 answer text <p>Defra provides detailed guidance to support local authorities in fulfilling their local air quality management responsibilities, as well as a dedicated helpdesk that provides 24 hour technical support and tools to local authorities.</p><p> </p><p>The department wrote to 230 local authorities across England with longstanding air quality problems last November to better understand the challenges they face and to press for further action. The information provided by these local authorities is helping to inform government policy and to strengthen our joint efforts to improve air quality across the UK.</p><p> </p><p>In March Defra, along with Public Health England and the Local Government Association, published the Air Quality Briefing for Directors of Public Health. This provides easily accessed information on the health impacts of air pollution along with extensive guidance on understanding, communicating and tackling the issue in local areas.</p><p> </p><p>In July the Government published the UK plan for tackling roadside nitrogen dioxide concentrations. We have put in place a £3.5 billion plan to clean up the air and reduce harmful vehicle emissions. This includes the £255 million implementation fund already announced by the Government to support local authorities to prepare their plans and deliver targeted action to improve air quality. In addition, as part of the budget, the Chancellor confirmed a further £220 million of new funding for a clean air fund, which will support local authorities with the biggest air quality challenge to support people and businesses to adapt as measures to improve air quality are implemented.</p><p>Defra’s annual Air Quality Grant Programme was introduced in 1997 to support local authorities in carrying out their air quality duties. Over £55m has been allocated to local measures such as low emission strategies, promotion of clean vehicle technology and communications campaigns.
