answer text <p>Embassy officials carry out regular assessments of the political and human rights situation in Papua and West Papua provinces including keeping up to date with research and visiting the province (most recently in November 2017). Where we have concerns, these are raised with the Government of Indonesia. Officials were not consulted prior to the publication of the research on pathways to peace, but UK government officials met researchers from the Politics of Papua Project in August 2016.</p> more like this

answer text <p>​Officials from across Whitehall and in Russia continue to work closely with non-governmental organisations who are supporting the victims fleeing persecution in Chechnya. We continue to make our concerns clear to the Russian Government at a senior level; most recently I raised this with First Deputy Foreign Minister Vladimir Titov in Moscow on 8 December.
