Ensuring easier access to general practice will expand this route to access mental health services.</p><p>Through the NHS Long Term Plan, we are investing an additional £2.3 billion a year by 2023/24 to expand NHS mental health and eating disorder services for adults, children and young people in England, including in Bristol West. In September, we announced ‘Our plan for patients’, which outlines how we will meet oral health needs and increase access to dental care, including in Bristol West.</p><p>The plan includes improvements to ensure dentists are renumerated fairly for more complex work, allowing greater flexibility to reallocate resources and to utilise dentists with greater capacity to deliver National Health Service treatment, whilst enabling full use of the dental team. The plan also includes streamlining processes for overseas dentists and holding the local NHS to account for dentistry provision. The guidance allows for masks to not be used if, as part of a risk assessment, they are considered particularly challenging for the resident. We continue to keep this under review. Childminders are generally the most affordable and flexible form of childcare and form an important part of the broader childcare market.</p><p> </p><p>Under Section 6 of the Childcare Act 2006, local authorities are responsible for ensuring that the provision of childcare is sufficient to meet the requirements of parents in their area. That is why employed adoptive parents have broadly the same rights and protections as birth parents.</p><p> </p><p>We do not have any data on the number of disrupted early placements. Adoption disruption is rare and research in 2014 (<a href="https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/beyond-the-adoption-order-challenges-intervention-disruption" target="_blank"><em>Beyond the Adoption Order</em></a><em>)</em> suggested that any disruptions happen at a later stage, years after the adoption order has been made.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>Maternity Allowance is primarily a health and safety provision intended to support women who have recently given birth to take time off to recover physically from their pregnancy and childbirth. This includes where roles are eligible, any criminal record checks either through the Disclosure and Barring Service and where applicable, overseas police checks as aligned to the Home Office’s guidance. The standard does not specifically refer to ‘Certificates of No Criminal Convictions’ as this is specific to Hong Kong nationals and the guidance is not country specific.</p><p>The Home Office provides national guidance on the type of checks which can be obtained from any overseas country and how these can be obtained.
