answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 15/07/2019 answer text <p>The UK Shared Prosperity Fund is the Government’s manifesto commitment to reduce inequalities between communities across our four nations by raising productivity, once we have left the EU.</p><p>The Government recognises the importance of reassuring local areas on the future of local growth funding once we have left the EU and providing clarity on the UK Shared Prosperity Fund.</p><p>The Government has over the past year, held 25 stakeholder engagement events across the UK with representatives from a breadth of sectors, in order to aid policy development. The consultation will build upon these conversations.</p><p>The Government has now reached agreement with the EU on an extension until 31 October at the latest, with the option to leave earlier as soon as a deal has been ratified. We believe that leaving with a deal is the best outcome and remain focused on ensuring our smooth and orderly withdrawal from the EU. It is right, however, that we also continue to prepare for all scenarios. The Government has now committed over £1.2 billion to tackle homelessness and rough sleeping over the spending review period. A household who has become homeless unintentionally and contains dependent children is considered to be priority need and a local authority has a duty to secure accommodation for these households. A household may have to spend time in temporary accommodation before a final offer of accommodation is made. Details on these priority need, households with children have been captured through the Department’s new case level data collection system, H-CLIC, since April 2018. After we leave the EU, as now, we will work closely with industry and all levels of government and take end-to-end action across the housing market to deliver the right homes in the right places and achieve our ambition of delivering 300,000 homes a year by the mid 2020s.</p><p>We set out our plan for long-term reform to make the housing market work better in our Housing White Paper, and have since built on this with further measures, including planning reforms, lifting Housing Revenue Account borrowing caps, and progressively increasing the Government’s 2016-21 Affordable Homes Programme in England to more than £9 billion, as well as more than doubling the Housing Infrastructure Fund to £5.5 billion to unlock up to 650,000 homes. We’ve committed over £22 billion Help to Buy Equity Loan funding to 2021, and announced at last year’s Autumn Budget a new scheme with £7.2 billion funding to 2023.
