UK’s contribution to the European Development Fund (EDF), a Member States voluntary fund not financed from the EU budget but also administered by the Commission, was £407 million. Estimates for the UK share of official development assistance funded from the EU budget in 2014 will be published in April 2015 as part of the provisional ODA:GNI statistics publication for 2014. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 05/12/2014 answer text <p>It is not for the Department to place a limit on the daily payment of doctors, nurses and other professionally qualified staff hired by the National Health Service from the private sector.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>The Department expects trusts to have a strong grip on their finances, and manage their contract and agency staffing spend responsibly through effective and efficient workforce planning and management.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>Trusts have access to these staff at appropriate prices through frameworks managed by the Crown Commercial Service and the 4 NHS procurement hubs and we are working with, for example, Monitor and the NHS Trust Development Authority, to encourage trusts to use these frameworks.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>Following the Francis report many trusts have increased their spend on temporary staffing to meet safe staffing levels.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>Where appropriate, we shall also be using the newly published section 42 guidance, for trusts requiring financial support, to expect those trusts to reduce their spending on agency staffing over the course of the next financial year.</p><p> </p> answering member printed Earl Howe question first answered 05/12/2014 14:20:55 answering member 2000 label Biography information for Earl Howe

It often involves contrived, artificial transactions that serve little or no commercial purpose other than to produce a tax advantage. QOF is a voluntary incentive scheme that provides additional reward to general practitioner practices for how well they care for patients based on performance against a number of agreed indicators.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>Each indicator is assigned a number of QOF points, further detail is set out on the NHS Employers website:</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>http://www.nhsemployers.org/your-workforce/primary-care-contacts/general-medical-services/quality-and-outcomes-framework</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>QOF points are awarded according to level of achievement.
