answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 12/05/2020 answer text <p>All data released by the Department is robust and includes only cases officially confirmed by NHS England or the devolved administrations, following discussion with next of kin.</p><p> </p><p>The Government publishes daily figures on confirmed COVID-19 deaths in hospital, as that gives us the most up to date figures on a consistent basis. The vast majority of serious cases and fatalities of the virus will occur in hospital settings.</p><p>The Office for National Statistics (ONS) are also publishing statistics from deaths registered in a given week, which include deaths outside hospital such as care homes. From 28 April 2020, the ONS will publish counts of deaths involving COVID-19 in care homes, based on reporting from care home operators to the Care Quality Commission. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 06/05/2020 answer text <p>Since the 21 April the House of Lords has conducted virtual sittings of the House, and the broadcasting unit have been developing the necessary infrastructure to enable high quality live broadcast of these proceedings. In the interim period, all virtual sittings were made available online as video　or audio files as soon as possible after the proceedings concluded. The Hansard record of proceedings for each virtual sitting has also been made available online from approximately three hours after each sitting. On Tuesday 28 April and Thursday 30 April the virtual sittings of the House were broadcast live on parliamentlive.tv.</p><p>As of this week, the House of Lords has begun to use the same system as the House of Commons to enable high-quality live broadcast output via parliamentlive.tv. As well as virtual sittings of the House, House of Lords committees have been continuing to meet remotely, and last week the first virtual evidence sessions with witnesses were broadcast live on parliamentlive.tv. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 08/04/2020 answer text <p>The Government has provided a comprehensive, coordinated and coherent response to what is a serious and evolving economic situation, including the expanded business rates holiday announced on 17 March.</p><p> </p><p>The Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government published guidance for local authorities on the implementation of this holiday on 18 March, updated on 25 March. This guidance does not extend business rates relief to properties providing medical services, including dental practices, which have not been required to close to prevent the spread of COVID-19. There are no plans to amend this guidance further.</p><p> </p><p>Dental practices will have access to other support. NHS England have agreed to fully remunerate dentists holding or working on NHS contracts for the routine NHS work they would have otherwise undertaken during the pandemic.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>All businesses, including those not eligible for business rates relief, will benefit from the wider package of measures that the Government has set out to support businesses through this period of disruption. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 06/04/2020 answer text <p>The Chancellor of the Exchequer announced new support for the self-employed on 26 March 2020.</p><p> </p><p>The new Self-Employed Income Support Scheme will help those with lost trading profits due to COVID-19. It will allow eligible individuals to claim a taxable grant worth 80% of their trading profits up to a maximum of £2,500 per month for the next 3 months. This may be extended if needed and is one of the most generous self-employed support schemes in the world.</p><p> </p><p>To qualify, an individual’s self-employed trading profits must be less than £50,000 and more than half of their income comes from self-employment. 95% of people who receive the majority of their income from self-employment will be eligible for this scheme.</p><p> </p><p>HM Revenue &amp; Customs will contact individuals if they are eligible for and invite them to apply online using a simple form. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 06/04/2020 answer text <p>The Government condemns any instance of violence, abuse or robbery of National Health Service staff – such behaviour is despicable. Any robbery or attempted robbery of a NHS staff ID card should be reported to the police immediately, as it is a criminal offence.</p><p>The NHS and the Crown Prosecution Service recently signed the Joint Agreement on Offences Against Emergency Workers. This agreement sets out a framework for the effective investigation and prosecution of cases where emergency workers are the victim of a crime and the standards that victims of these crimes can expect.
