answer text <p>The Home Office, as the Department responsible for fire safety, publishes a suite of guides to help Responsible Persons (RPs) understand and meet their legal duties under the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 (FSO), and regulations made under Article 24 of the FSO, in specific types of premises including high rise purpose-built blocks of flats. This includes guidance on how to meet their legal duties in relation to providing instructions for residents on what action to take in the event of a fire.</p><p>The Home Office has also issued guidance on the new legal duties RPs have to ensure residents are aware of the steps they are required to take in the event of a fire as part of the Fire Safety (England) Regulations 2022 that came into force on 23 January 2023.</p> more like this

answer text <p>There is over £650 million available through the Nature for Climate Fund (NCF) to support tree planting, woodland creation and management until 2025.</p><p> </p><p>For 2022/23 alone we have made available:</p><ul><li>over £25 million through the England Woodland Creation Offer</li><li>£9.4 million of additional funding to support tree nurseries, and development of workforce and skills to support the creation of woodland</li><li>£44.5 million NCF Year 3 funding for Woodland Creation Partnerships and Community Forests</li><li>£7.8 million for a new Woodland Creation Accelerator Fund to build local authority capacity to plan new woodlands (NCF+ funding)</li><li>£2 million to support the Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities’ Levelling Up Parks Fund</li><li>£12.8 million to the Peatland Restoration Grant Scheme.</li></ul><p> </p><p>Over £14 million is available through the Local Authority Treescapes Fund and Urban Tree Challenge Fund which allow both local authorities and community groups to access funds for new tree-planting projects. These have just reopened and we would encourage local authorities and community groups to apply and support tree planting in their local areas.</p><p> </p><p>The NCF is already providing over £33 million to restore 20,000 hectares of peatlands, with a further bidding round in 2023.The NCF Discovery Grant has also awarded over £5 million to 15 projects across England, stretching from Dorset to Northumberland, enabling the foundation work needed to prepare for the restoration of over 51,000 ha of peatland.</p>

answer text <p>The Government is supporting research and development in offshore wind technology via the Net Zero Innovation Programme (NZIP), which will provide £60 million of funding for technologies including floating offshore wind and radar mitigation. Each of these programmes includes an element of matched funding from the private sector. The effectiveness of these programmes will be considered as part of the wider benefits evaluation work of the NZIP.</p><p>The Government also awarded £3.12 million to the innovative ERM-Dolphin project in 2020, which will develop a floating wind farm to produce green hydrogen at scale with a target capacity of 4GW by 2032.</p><p> </p> more like this

answer text <p>Most eligible households will start to receive the Alternative Fuel payment (AFP) automatically via their electricity supplier which begun 6 February. Payments are expected to be completed within February - although this will depend on customers’ suppliers and how they pay their bills. Delivery mirrors the methods used to provide support under the government’s other energy bill support schemes. Most households will not need to take any action to receive the support.</p><p> </p><p>A small proportion of households will need to apply for the AFP. These households will be able to do so in February, through a GOV.UK portal which will include an overview of eligibility and what applicants need to do to apply for support.</p> more like this

answer text <p>Discussions have taken place with a number of charities and businesses regarding increased energy costs and the Government is fully aware of the impact this is having on the hospice sector.</p><p> </p><p>This is why the Energy Bill Relief Scheme was introduced, shielding eligible non-domestic customers from soaring energy prices.
