answer text <p>In January I visited Juba and held meetings with President Salva Kiir, members of the opposition and civil society. In the margins of the African Union Summit I met with the Leader of the Opposition Riek Machar. In all those meetings I emphasised the importance of forming the transitional government without delay. The UK has also worked closely with key countries in the region and in the UN Security Council to build pressure on the parties to form a government of national unity.</p> more like this

answer text <p>The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees' (UNHCR’s) vulnerability criteria for identifying refugees under the Syrian Vulnerable Persons Resettlement Scheme include persons at risk due to their sexual orientation or gender identity, and LGBTI refugees are identified through their normal screening procedures.</p><p>We are working with UNHCR and other partners to intensify their outreach to groups that might otherwise be reluctant to register for fear of stigma/discrimination and unaware of the safe space and options available to them. This includes all religious minorities, LGBT, people with disabilities, survivors of torture and sexual violence and others.</p><p>The scheme is based on need and supports those who cannot be supported effectively in their region of origin, we cannot therefore provide long term forecasts.</p> more like this

answer text <p>The DCMS is responsible for the safety of tourism accommodation. The Government responded to the Commission's Green Paper consultation on theSafety of Tourism Accommodation Services which closed on 30 November 2014. Since I was appointed Tourism Minister in May 2015, I have met ABTA to discuss accommodation safety. I also raised this issue when I met my Greek counterpart on 4 Novemberand I will also be writing to the rest of my EU counterparts to raise awareness of the issue.</p> more like this
