Enhanced due diligence would only apply if the business relationship is assessed as high risk.</strong></p><p> </p><p><strong>Political agreement between the Presidency, the European Parliament and the Commission on the Directive was reached on 16 December. A single set of rules setting out clear tests will make it simpler and easier for clubs to understand and comply with their responsibilities. The rules are as simple as possible, bearing in mind they apply to almost one hundred different sports, operating in often very different ways.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>However, the Government does recognise that the existing administrative arrangements that apply when an existing CASC changes its status – such as when an unincorporated association changes into a company – can be burdensome. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 21/11/2014 answer text The Government’s reasons for proposing a three-year transition period for implementing s74 Enterprise and Regulatory Reform Act 2013 are set out in its recent consultation which concluded on 27 October 2014 (https://www.gov.uk/government/consultations/transitional-provisions-for-the-repeal-of-section-52-of-the-cdpa). This does not represent an extended transition period but the Government’s provisional judgement as to the shortest reasonable period, taking into account the needs of both right owners and those using the current law to trade lawfully. The Government is considering the evidence it received and will make its decision on transitional provisions in the light of this. Current items made under the aegis of s52 of the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988 would not be considered counterfeits. This is because the policy objective of the regulations is to improve collecting societies’ conduct, rather than to regulate their contractual relationships. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 28/07/2014 answer text <p> </p><p>The Intellectual Property Office does not undertake any sort of monitoring role in respect of advertising on illegal websites and has no plans to do so.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>Government does however support work undertaken by the Intellectual Property Office funded Police Intellectual Property Crime Unit, who manage the Infringing Website List (IWL) online portal. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 28/07/2014 answer text <p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>The Government works closely with the European Union Observatory on the Infringement of Intellectual Property Rights to share best practice with stakeholders – including industry bodies and European and international enforcement bodies – on the approach to tackling intellectual property (IP) enforcement.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>The Government also plays an active role in Europol and Interpol intellectual property enforcement action and undertakes direct bilateral action where operationally necessary.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>Through our network of overseas IP attachés the Government continues to build strong relations with government departments, industry bodies and enforcement agencies. For example, in September the Chinese Government will host the second UK-China IP Symposium which I shall be attending. The Symposium, which will have a clear enforcement component, is an opportunity for UK and Chinese companies to interact with senior policymakers from both countries on a range of intellectual property topics. The last major revision of the JMLSG guidance was in 2011 although some detailed changes were made in 2013 and 2014. This material is published on the JMLSG website - <a href="http://www.jmlsg.org.uk/" target="_blank">http://www.jmlsg.org.uk/</a></p><p> </p><p>Discussions of the proposed Fourth Money Laundering Directive are continuing.
