answer text <p>UK Research and Innovation (UKRI) has recently reviewed grant terms and conditions to be explicit that leadership and management skills development costs can be claimed in applications for its talent programmes and in grant holders’ terms. UKRI’s existing Future Leaders Fellows Development Network has been expanded to include holders of other UKRI fellowships and research leaders in UKRI’s Centres Institutes and Units. The four UK National Academies’ talent programmes support leadership and management skills to help researchers lead their teams and commercialise their ideas.</p> more like this

answer text <p>The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) is the independent body that develops recommendations on whether medicines represent a clinically and cost-effective use of National Health Service resources at the price proposed by the company. Companies can agree discounts on the price of medicines in the context of the NICE evaluation process.</p><p>NICE is currently developing guidance for the NHS on the clinical and cost effectiveness of Kaftrio and other cystic fibrosis medicines, and recently consulted on its draft recommendations. Kaftrio is currently available as a treatment option for eligible NHS patients under the terms of an interim access agreement, which was originally reached in 2019.</p> more like this

answer text <p>We work closely with the Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities (DLUHC) to ensure the right asylum decision data is being shared with local authorities to enable effective planning and to lessen the impact on existing homelessness and rough sleeping pressures. Our accommodation providers are directly working with local authorities to notify them when an individual is due to have their asylum support ended.</p><p>We are working with our partners, including local authorities, to provide timely notification of key events that impact them. answer text <p>Whilst Newcastle is not currently under consideration as a base for the Government Legal Department (GLD), the GLD's position might change in the future if demand for GLD services increases in the region.</p><p>GLD sites have been selected based on a model of developing a national organisation located in the proximity of its clients and using established legal markets which have strong pipelines for recruiting from diverse pools.</p><p>Decisions on sites are evidence-based, for example, on research and analysis of local academic and labour markets, whilst also reflecting various Government estate and property initiatives such as Places for Growth.</p><p>The Pilgrim Quarter Development will be the Government Hub for HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC) in the North East, housing 9,000 HMRC employees when complete. As GLD does not currently offer legal services to HMRC, we would not automatically co-locate within their sites.</p> more like this
