answer text
The United Kingdom Foundation Programme (UKFP) has surveyed doctors finishing their second year of foundation training. The last iteration of the survey in 2019 showed that at the end of training, 635 out of 6,864 trainees or 9.3%, reported their planned next work destination as outside of the UK. However, it is expected that some of these trainees will return to practice in the UK.

The UKFP survey aligns with the latest information from the General Medical Council’s ‘The state of medical education and practice in the UK – the workforce report 2022’, which tracked the location of the 2016 cohort of doctors who completed their second year of foundation training. This shows that of 6,207 doctors who finished placements in England, only 387 or 6% had left the UK workforce after a year and 414 or 7% had left after five years. Those leaving may be working in other countries and also include those no longer working in the medical profession.
more like this

answer text
The final round of the Future Farming Resilience Fund opened on 3rd October and will run until March 2025. The Resilience Fund provides free expert business advice, delivered by third party organisations, to farmers who may need help adapting to the changes during the agricultural transition. One of the key required outcomes for Resilience Fund is that farmers’ mental health and wellbeing are supported where necessary. Some delivery providers are offering this support from in-house experts and others are signposting support available from external expert services. We have worked with the Yellow Wellies charity, to provide advice and information on how to identify potential mental health issues and provide tools for addressing them.
more like this

answer text
No one should be denied employment on grounds of their Christian beliefs save in the most limited and legitimate circumstances, such as under a genuine occupational requirement. The Church of England comprises many different charitable bodies, each of which has its own charitable purposes. Each body would need to consider whether the provision of such support furthered its objects and came within its powers. There is a difference between support for Christians generally and the promotion of the work and mission of the Church of England, which is the purpose of the national Church. For this reason, the national Church has no plans to provide such support.
more like this
