answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 02/07/2018 answer text <p>The Government does not centrally collate information on how many Police and Crime Commissioners (PCCs) employ a deputy commissioner</p><p>PCCs may appoint a deputy should they wish, and the decision of who to appoint as a deputy is a matter for the directly-elected and publicly accountable PCC. PCCs appoint their deputies in an open and transparent way.
