answer text <p>There has been extensive engagement at ministerial and official level between Defra and the devolved administrations (DAs). The Secretary of State made it a priority to engage with Scottish and Welsh Government counterparts by making phone calls during his first week of office.</p><p> </p><p>This summer, the Secretary of State meet with the Scottish Government Cabinet Secretary, Fergus Ewing, at the Royal Highland Show on 22<sup>nd</sup> June, and the Welsh Government Cabinet Secretary, Lesley Griffiths, at the Royal Welsh Show on 24<sup>th</sup> July. The Secretary of State also met with the Permanent Secretary in Northern Ireland’s Department for Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs (DAERA) at the Antrim Show on 22<sup>nd</sup> July.</p><p> </p><p>Minister Therese Coffey met with Fergus Ewing MSP during a forestry visit to Scotland on 27<sup>th</sup> June.</p><p> </p><p>The Secretary of State met ministerial counterparts in the Welsh and Scottish Governments, along with a senior official from DAERA (NIE), on 25<sup>th</sup> September for on-going discussions on the UK’s withdrawal from the EU. The next meeting is currently being planned for the end of October.</p>
