answer text <p>The Department for Exiting the EU is working with officials across government and undertaking a programme of analytical work to assess the economic impacts of exiting the European Union across a range of scenarios.</p><p>As part of our analysis we are looking at more than 50 sectors within the areas of goods; services; financial services; network industries; and agriculture and fisheries as well as cross-cutting regulations. This will inform the UK's position for the negotiations with our EU partners.</p><p>However, Parliament has asked the Government to protect information that could undermine the UK's negotiating position and the Government will respect this.</p><p> </p> more like this

answer text <p>The noble Lord appears to be referring to the recent work by Latorre-Pellicer et al (2016). The Human Fertilisation and Embryology Authority (HFEA) has advised that this research will be considered by the reconvened Expert Panel which will assess the safety and efficacy of mitochondrial donation techniques more widely.</p><p> </p><p>The guidance referred to by the noble Lord refers to haplotype matching in the provision of mitochondrial donation treatment. At present, no clinics in the United Kingdom are licenced to provide such treatment. The HFEA has further advised that the research published in <em>Nature</em> is consistent with that guidance. The HFEA will continue to advise clinics to keep themselves up to date with the scientific research in this area.</p> more like this

answer text <p>The Department has not received any specific representations from Monitor regarding increasing the number of training places for doctors and nurses.</p><p> </p><p><strong> </strong></p><p> </p><p>Health Education England (HEE) is responsible for workforce planning for the National Health Service and as part of that process liaise with all arms length bodies, including Monitor, individual healthcare providers and key stakeholders regards medical and non medical staffing requirements going forward.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>The Department set up HEE to deliver a better health and healthcare workforce for England. HEE is responsible for ensuring a secure workforce supply for the future balancing need against demand, taking into account factors such as the age profile of the existing workforce, the impact of technology, and new drugs.</p><p> </p> more like this

answer text <p>Neurofibromatosis Type 1 (NF1) patients are included within the remit of Dr David Bateman in his role as National Clinical Director for Chronic Disability and Neurological Conditions at NHS England.</p><p> </p><p>There are currently no plans for awareness raising activity in relation to NF 1, which is an inherited condition. Information for the public on the diagnosis and treatment of NF1 can be found on the NHS Choices website, which sets out the key signs and symptoms of the condition, including: coffee colored patches on the skin, two or more neurofibromas (bumps on or under the skin); bone defects, such as bowing of the lower leg; and, a family history of NF1.
