answer text <p>The Department for Exiting the European Union, working with officials across Government, continues to undertake a wide range of analysis to support our negotiations. Our work covers the breadth of the UK economy, and we are looking in detail at more than 50 sectors as well as areas of cross-cutting regulation. Parliament has agreed that we will not publish anything that would undermine the Government’s ability to negotiate the best deal for Britain. Now, that the Prime Minister has initiated the Article 50 process and negotiations have begun in earnest, I can confirm that we will shortly be publishing the list of sectors we have been examining - though this of course does not mean that we have changed our position on revealing information which may harm our negotiating position.</p> more like this

answer text <p>Where a carer's State Pension is less than Carer's Allowance, State Pension is paid and topped up with Carer's Allowance to the basic weekly rate of Carer's Allowance, which is currently £62.70 a week.</p><p> </p><p>However, where the State Pension paid is higher than £62.70, social security rules operate to prevent Carer’s Allowance and State Pension being paid together, since they are designed to meet the same need i.e. to help maintain income. Paying both benefits together would represent duplicate provision. The relevant legislation is The Social Security (Overlapping Benefits) Regulations 1979 (regulation 4), which can be found at <a href="http://www.legislation.gov.uk/uksi/1979/597/pdfs/uksi_19790597_290216_en.pdf" target="_blank">http://www.legislation.gov.uk/uksi/1979/597/pdfs/uksi_19790597_290216_en.pdf</a></p><p><br>Where Carer’s Allowance cannot be paid, the person will keep underlying entitlement to the benefit. This gives access to the additional amount for carers in Pension Credit, worth up to £34.95 a week, and even if a pensioner’s income is above the limit for Pension Credit, he or she may still be able to receive Housing Benefit.</p>

answer text <p>Through our Violence against Women and Girls (VAWG) Strategy we have published a National Statement of Expectations (NSE) setting out a clear blueprint for local action. We consulted widely with commissioners, the voluntary and community sector and statutory stakeholders in the development of the NSE, which is based on existing best practice. The NSE will help promote better local collaboration and joint leadership, encourage new approaches incorporating early intervention, and establish and embed the best ways to help victims, survivors and their families.</p><p>To support local implementation we have published a Commissioning Toolkit, which provided practical advice and launched the £15 million VAWG Service Transformation fund, which will encourage better collaboration and new, joined-up approaches between local commissioners and specialist VAWG service providers. We are actively developing mechanisms for monitoring implementation of the NSE, working with commissioners and experts from the specialist VAWG sector, to ensure that local services across the country provide the best support for victims and survivors of VAWG.</p>
