The MOD has prioritised finding ARAP applications from those we know to be eligible having worked for, or alongside the UK forces in support of our mission in Afghanistan.</p><p> </p><p>Of those cases that pre-date Op PITTING, in the past two weeks, we have reduced these from 131 cases to just 80 at the time of writing. These 80 cases are now particularly complex and fall broadly into three categories: cases that are likely ineligible, cases delayed as a consequence of misconduct, and cases whereby applicants are already safely in a third country.</p><p> </p><p>Overall, we have received more than 95,000 unique applications to the scheme, and have approximately 2,000 pending a decision – a figure which includes new applications we are still receiving. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 24/10/2023 answer text <p>Continuing to support the resettlement of eligible Afghans under the Afghan Citizens Resettlement Scheme (ACRS) &amp; Afghan Relocations and Assistance Policy (ARAP) remains a priority for the Government. To date, we have brought around 24,600 people affected by events in Afghanistan to safety, which includes those evacuated under Op PITTING.</p><p> </p><p>We are aware of recent Government of Pakistan announcements regarding Afghans illegally present in Pakistan. FCDO and the British High Commission are monitoring the situation closely.
