answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 20/10/2020 answer text <p>There has been no decision by any part of Government to remove sheep from upland areas on Dartmoor.</p><p> </p><p>Okehampton Common is part of the North Dartmoor Site of Special Scientific Interest and Dartmoor Special Area of Conservation, and subject to an agreement for making environmental improvements. Surveys in 2018 and 2019 showed current grazing levels are impacting the special habitats. We continue to work closely with industry, the National Health Service and others in the supply chain to deliver the shared goal of continuity of safe patient care by mitigating any potential disruption to supply into the UK of medicines and medical products at the end of the transition period, in all scenarios.</p><p>As set out in a letter from the Department to industry of 3 August, we are implementing a multi-layered approach, that involves asking suppliers of medicines and medical products to the UK from or via the European Union to get trader ready, reroute their supply chains away from any potential disruption and stockpiling to a target level of six weeks on UK soil where this is possible. Open access operators were therefore not offered Emergency Recovery Measures Agreements (ERMAs). However, during the COVID-19 outbreak, Open Access Operators have drawn upon business support measures such as the Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme. Other substantial measures, including the Covid Corporate Financing Facility, have also been put in place. Government also provided support for more bespoke measures, such as applications for extensions to track access contracts and deferrals of payments to the British Transport Police. The Government has always been clear that delivery of such is subject to a satisfactory business case and agreement of acceptable terms with the Heathrow Aviation industry. Discussions between the Department and Heathrow Airport Limited to agree an appropriate funding contribution were interrupted following the Court of Appeal’s judgement on the Airports National Policy Statement and the devastating impact of COVID-19, resulting in a delay. We must therefore think carefully about how we solve the problems arising from plastic waste in order to avoid unintended consequences. We regularly meet with producers, including of sanitary products, to discuss the sustainability of their products, and will continue to do so to innovate and find sustainable and practical solutions to the impact of sanitary products on the environment.</p><p> </p><p>We are seeking new powers in our landmark Environment Bill to drive the market towards more sustainable products, which for some products may be more appropriate than a ban. This includes powers to introduce ecodesign requirements and to require retailers to charge for single-use plastic items.
