answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 23/07/2019 answer text <p>Universal Credit (UC) is paid in a single monthly amount directly into people’s bank accounts, giving them control over their own money and making the move into work easier.</p><p> </p><p>The Government is committed to supporting parents with moving into work and, as part of this, we increased the level of support for childcare costs from 70 per cent in legacy benefits to up to 85 per cent in UC. The UC childcare policy aligns with the wider government childcare offer, which includes free childcare hours and tax free childcare. UC claimants can utilise both the free childcare entitlement and UC childcare costs in conjunction with each other for relevant hours. This offer means that reasonable childcare costs should not form a barrier to work.</p><p> </p><p>We have made other changes to ease the burden on claimants and encourage work. We recognise that upfront childcare costs or deposits may prevent a claimant from starting work so Jobcentres can now use the Flexible Support Fund to support the transition into work. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 08/07/2019 answer text <p>The government is determined to get more girls and women playing sport, something we set out in our sport strategy, Sporting Future. Football is the second most played team sport for adult women and the top ranked team sport in terms of participation for girls.</p><p> </p><p>We are investing £14.6million into the Football Association (FA) through Sport England between 2017 and 2021, to support their grassroots participation, talent and coaching programmes. £2.6million of this is specifically reserved for women and girls talent programmes, helping the FA reach its aspiration to double the number of women and girls teams. The FA also receive an additional £2m each year towards improving diversity in its coaching workforce.</p><p> </p><p>Government is also investing £18million to the Football Foundation charity each year to help deliver a programme of new and improved community sports facilities in towns and cities across the country.</p><p> </p><p>All public funding provided is used to benefit men’s, women’s and disability football; for example, investment in a mixed coaching programme or facility will benefit all groups within that community.</p><p> </p><p>Liverpool, for example, has benefitted to the sum of £15.2millon for football programmes over the last three years from the Football Foundation, which includes a mix of public funding and investment from the FA and the Premier League. Although the aim is the voluntary return of the refugees to Myanmar, the current conditions and continued conflict in Rakhine State preclude this.</p><p> </p><p>As the crisis moves into a protracted phase, we will remain a leading donor to the humanitarian operation and increase our support to the development needs of affected communities in Cox’s Bazar. This requires working with the UN, World Bank and others to help the Government develop and finance medium-term plans for the district. It also requires continuous consultation with the refugees to make sure that their needs and aspirations are, as far as possible, met. Education and livelihoods are an important part of this. The International Development Secretary discussed the Rohingya crisis with the Bangladesh Government in Dhaka in February, including the need to improve refugees’ access to education, skills and livelihoods. The Minister for Asia and the Pacific held similar discussions with the Government during his visit in April.</p><p>We are funding UNICEF, both directly and through Education Cannot Wait, to increase the learning opportunities for refugee children and adolescents. But more needs to be done if we are to end hunger by 2030. We are discussing with Germany and other leading development partners how we can achieve a step change including the potential value of a possible major global moment on SDG2 in 2020. Our £25million What Works to Prevent Violence programme is the largest global investment in research into prevention of violence against women and girls and I am committed to maintaining the UK’s global leadership in this area.</p><p> </p><p>At the Ending Sexual and Gender-Based Violence (SGBV) in Humanitarian Crises Conference the UK committed £7 million of support to tackle SGBV in Syria through our partnership with the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) and reaffirmed our commitments made under the Call to Action on Protection from Gender Based Violence in Emergencies.</p><p> </p><p>Work to prevent and respond to GBV in emergencies in DFID consists of standalone programmes and GBV prevention and response integrated into broader conflict prevention, humanitarian and sector wide interventions in education, women’s economic empowerment and social protection.
