<p>The Home Office publishes data, in its quarterly Immigration Statistics re-lease,
on the number of applications for asylum in the UK, broken down by nationality for
each quarter, in table as_01_q (Asylum, volume 1), and data on the number of applications
granted asylum (as well as other forms of leave) at initial decision in the same table.</p><p>The
latest edition covering up to the end of March 2019 is available at: <a href="https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/immigration-statistics-year-ending-march-2019/list-of-tables"

next update to these statistics will be published on 22nd August, and will cover the
