answer text <p>The government applies a reduced rate of VAT to the installation of a number of energy-saving materials, including insulation and solar panels. While all taxes are kept under review, the application of further reduced rates is strictly limited by EU law.</p><p> </p><p>Our future relationship with the EU, including on VAT, is subject to negotiation. Any future decisions on VAT will continue to be taken in line with the normal Budget process.</p> more like this
