answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 14/05/2019 answer text <p>The NHS Business Services Authority is responsible for the administration of the NHS Injury Benefits Scheme on behalf of the Secretary of State. The Injury Benefits Scheme covers NHS workers with injuries or diseases contracted through their employment before 31 March 2013.</p><p>The NHS Business Services Authority will process Injury Benefits applications received up to and including 30 March 2018 but only in respect of injuries or diseases occurring on or before 30 March 2013. We know that knife crime is committed by criminals carrying a wide range of different knives. This is why the law does not generally differentiate between knives, for example in relation to age controls or possession offences.</p><p>The Government needs to strike the right balance between allowing access to knives, for instance as tools, with the need to protect the public from dangerous weapons. It is unclear whether knives with rounded tips would necessarily cause less harm if used as weapons. More than £4.2 billion has been provided since 2016, including over £2 billion for core Brexit activity in 2019-20 for deal and no deal preparations.</p><p> </p><p>The 2019-20 allocations were announced in a Written Ministerial Statement on 18 December 2018. The devolved administrations received their full share of additional funding in devolved areas through the Barnett Formula, with the Welsh Government allocated £31.1m. To identify and collate the total number of applications made would incur disproportionate cost. Consequently, we do not hold the information requested.</p><p> </p><p>Universal Credit claimants may be eligible for an advance payment, in order to provide extra financial support for those who need it most. The Department has increased the maximum advance a claimant may receive at the start of their claim to 100 per cent of their indicative award and has extended the repayment period to 12 months. From October 2021, this maximum repayment period will be extended further to 16 months.</p><p> </p><p>Around 60% of eligible new claims to Universal Credit received an advance in January 2019. However, an advance can be paid on the same day the claimant applies if they or their household would suffer genuine hardship if they had to wait 72 hours for the payment.</p><p>Applications for a Universal Credit advance payment can be made in person, by telephone or online depending on the claimant’s circumstances. Depending on the type of advance payment application, we will consider whether the claimant satisfies the eligibility conditions for receiving the advance. If the claimant is eligible we will agree the amount of the advance and the period over which the advance will be recovered from their future Universal Credit payments. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 21/02/2019 answer text <p>Subject to parliamentary approval, we have sought powers to conduct a pilot phase of Managed Migration, to track up to a maximum of 10,000 claimants through the process. The goal of the pilot is to learn as much as possible and to increase numbers as slowly and gradually as necessary, and there will be safeguards in the process to ensure that no-one is left behind. We will report on our findings from the pilot before bringing forward legislation to extend managed migration.</p><p> </p><p>We have said that all individuals will be tracked all the way through the pilot process and understanding the reasons for unsuccessful applications will be an important part of the pilot. However, there will be safeguards in place to protect those who might otherwise fail to make a successful claim.</p><p> </p><p>The Department is committed to finding those who will need support and will help them through the process, including home visits where necessary.
