Significant improvements have already been implemented through both hardware and software upgrades. These changes have already resulted in quicker response times for users and compared with the period June 2017 to September 2017, the average response time of the core case management system has reduced by over 50%. We are continually working with the system’s users to make further improvements.

more like this

answer text
The Department does not have details on the cost of labour associated with decommissioning projects nor trends in the cost. However, the recent report by the Oil and Gas Authority (OGA) indicates that operators are making progress to reduce costs, with some reporting significant cost reductions in platform running costs, platform well plugging and abandonment costs and removal costs. The OGA is working with industry to support further cost reductions to achieve delivery of the £39bn target cost for decommissioning and is developing cost benchmarks that will enable trend analysis of decommissioning costs over time.

https://www.ogauthority.co.uk/media/4925/decommissioning-cost-report-2018.pdf
more like this

answer text
Since 2011 for the most commonly prescribed special medicinal products, known as “specials”, a reimbursement price is listed in the Drug Tariff. We have continued to expand the number of products for which there is a reimbursement price listed in the Drug Tariff, thus reducing the cost and the variation in what the National Health Service pays. Since these reimbursement arrangements were introduced in 2011 we have observed that in England the average cost for specials listed in the Drug Tariff decreased by 58% between 2011 and first quarter of 2018.

We have taken powers in the Health Service Medical Supplies (Costs) Act 2017, which enable the Government to reimburse for specials dispensed in primary care in different ways such as considering quotes of suppliers and not reimbursing pharmacies at all if, for example, they have been provided the medicine by a central service. We are developing proposals, which will be subject to consultation with relevant stakeholders.
