answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 08/03/2018 answer text <p>Southport and Ormskirk NHS Trust was one of over 300 National Health Service schemes that applied for capital funding provided in the autumn Budget for Sustainability and Transformation Partnerships (STPs) transformation schemes. The spring and autumn Budgets last year announced that additional capital funding will be made available to support NHS STPs in delivering improvements in their infrastructure to support transformation of services, support their ability to better meet demand for local services and drive efficiency improvements. Provisional funding for the first 37 successful schemes was announced in July and November 2017.</p><p> </p><p>The Southport and Ormskirk Hospital NHS Trust application was one that did not score sufficiently high against the criteria to be taken into the cohort to be considered for the next round of funding. NHS Improvement and NHS England informed the Trust via the Cheshire and Merseyside STP of the outcome in December 2017 and advised that where schemes can be strengthened these can be considered through the future opportunities for STPs to access future capital funding tranches. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 06/03/2018 answer text <p>There has been no assessment made on whether work-related activity includes (a) considering referrals to professional services, (b) researching local self-help centres and support groups appropriate to a claimant’s health condition and (c) looking at the Expert Patient Programme online and listing reasons on how it could benefit a claimant.</p><p> </p><p>Requirements agreed between work coaches and claimants are specifically designed to help the claimants engage with work, in whatever way might be appropriate for that individual. The requirements must be reasonable and they are tailored to the claimant’s individual needs. For many of our claimants work preparation activity involves addressing their particular challenges, which can include managing their health condition. We would not ask a claimant to carry out an activity which would carry a risk to the health of the claimant, nor would we ask for a claimant to undergo medical treatment as part of their requirements. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 26/02/2018 answer text <p>There are provisions within the National Health Service standard contract to ban the sale of sugary drinks on NHS premises from July 2018. Within the voluntary scheme, NHS trusts and soft drinks suppliers are committed to taking action to reduce the sales of sugary drinks, with a target of less than 10% of all sales. The NHS is currently monitoring sales information from the voluntary scheme and in April it will be able to analyse progress made from nine months of data. From this information NHS England will make a decision whether to enforce the ban or not, and what policy decisions to take as a result.
