Disposable coffee cups are purchased by an external catering supplier, which was unable to provide this information.</p><p><br>The catering facilities in the Department’s headquarters office in 2 Marsham Street are provided through the Home Office. The coffee cups used in the Department’s headquarters office in 2 Marsham Street are biodegradable.</p><p><br>Staff and visitors are encouraged to dispose of waste appropriately and userecycling bins where it is appropriate to do so.</p> more like this

answer text <p>We are unable to provide purchasing data prior to 2017. In 2017 DFID London purchased approximately 4,300 ‘Vegware’ cups every month. Made from plant material – not plastic – these cups are organic, compostable and can be recycled with the food waste. In 2017 DFID Scotland took delivery of approximately 3,000 card and plastic cups. There are schemes in both DFID offices to encourage use of reusable coffee cups, with 10% off the price of a coffee when staff use their own cup. In DFID Scotland reusable cups are available for purchase, with the aim of bringing down the number of disposable coffee cups used.</p> more like this

answer text <p>The European Investment Bank, and its offshoot, the European Investment Fund, provide financing for infrastructure investment and growth businesses in a range of sectors including in the UK’s green industry, particularly renewable energy.</p><p> </p><p>As set out in the joint report on progress during phase 1 of the negotiations, the government considers that there could be mutual benefit from a continuing arrangement between the UK and the EIB, and wishes to explore these possible arrangements in the second phase of negotiations.</p><p> </p><p>The government is also continuing to take steps to ensure that finance continues to be available for good infrastructure projects and growth businesses: the UK Guarantees Scheme, which gives government support for private infrastructure finance, has been broadened to offer construction guarantees, and at Budget the Chancellor launched the Charging Infrastructure Investment Fund to support the transition to zero emission vehicles.</p> more like this
