All military and civilian personnel at sites identified for closure were informed at the time of the announcement through their chain of command. Staff will continue to be kept up to date, through the chain of command, on plans and developments for their sites.</p><p> </p><p>Military personnel currently based at sites identified for closure will be relocated with their unit or re-assigned in accordance with existing career management procedures. As much notice as possible will be provided.</p><p> </p><p>Civilian staff will be expected to honour the mobility obligations if their post is being relocated. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 02/02/2017 answer text <p>Department for Work and Pensions future estate plans are designed to retain the skills and experience of colleagues across the country. As a result, it is proposed that the great majority of employees stay in the same building, with most other employees moving to another site nearby.</p><p>In a small number of cases relocation and redeployment may be more difficult. We will seek to relocate or offer alternative roles to all such employees. But in some cases, this may not be reasonable and redundancies may be required. At this point we are unable to confirm whether redundancies would be voluntary or compulsory.</p><p>The Department for Work and Pensions will be entering into a period of consultation with our colleagues at all affected locations and will be undertaking internal discussions about the options for relocation. It is important to stress that this is a proposal at this stage and we will make a final decision following the consultation process with our colleagues</p><p>It is not until this period of consultation is concluded that we will know exactly how many people may leave the Department as a result of these changes. The UK, along with EU partners, abstained in the vote on the resolution &quot;Combating glorification of Nazism, neo-Nazism and other practices that contribute to fuelling contemporary forms of racism, racial discrimination, xenophobia and related intolerance&quot; in November 2016 as we considered the resolution, tabled by the Russian Federation, to be unbalanced and politically motivated. Furthermore, the resolution did not address all contemporary forms of racism in a comprehensive way.</p><p>Negotiations on the text for the 72<sup>nd</sup> session of the UN General Assembly will begin later this year. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 09/01/2017 answer text <p>In considering the proposal to extend the current contracts the Home Office listened carefully to a range of interested parties, including the evidence that has been given to the Home Affairs Committee and direct feedback from non-governmental organisations’ through regular engagement activity with various stakeholder groups. In extending the contracts the Home Office took the opportunity to make improvements to the contracts that address the concerns that have been raised.
