answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 01/11/2016 answer text <p>Govia Thameslink Railway (GTR) first notified the Department on 20 April 2016 in advance of the conductors strike on 26 April 2016 that they would potentially be submitting a claim for force majeure. This claim was submitted to the Department on 1 June 2016 and GTR have submitted information on a regular basis since. The circumstances that have led to GTR submitting their claims for force majeure in this instance are exceptional in their complexity and unprecedented in scale. This is reflected in the volume of information GTR is providing to the Department.
