answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 02/07/2015 answer text <p>We are committed to taking action on litter: our manifesto includes a commitment to review the case for increasing the fines for littering.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>Local councils and other relevant authorities are responsible for taking enforcement action against littering offences. Anyone caught littering may be prosecuted in a Magistrates’ Court, which can lead to a criminal record and a fine of up to £2,500 on conviction. Alternatively, the litter authority can issue a fixed penalty notice, which currently includes a fine of up to £80. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 23/06/2015 answer text <p>One UK coal-fired power station, EON’s Ratcliffe-on-Soar, is expected to have the capability to meet the emissions levels set by the Industrial Emissions Directive when it comes into force on 1<sup>st</sup> January 2016.</p><p>All UK coal fired power stations have elected to be part of the UK’s Transitional National Plan.
