answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 26/03/2014 answer text <p>In June 2012 the Prime Minister and Deputy Prime Minister announced the Government's Cadet Expansion Programme (CEP) to increase the number of state funded schools with their own military cadet force unit. The programme has been allocated £10.85 million by the Department for Education (DfE) and Ministry of Defence (MOD) so that more young people can benefit from the military cadet experience in school. The agreed DfE/MOD target is to establish 100 new units in state schools by the end of the academic year 2015/16. The CEP covers academic years from 2012/13 to 2015/16. At the end of academic year 2012/13, 21 new units had been established. A further 17 have been set up this academic year.</p><p>However, recent evidence shows that a military ethos – Service values and Service personnel – make a real difference in schools. Setting up a cadet forces scheme is a long-term way of embedding a military ethos in schools. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 26/03/2014 answer text <p>Earlier this month I announced plans to boost funding for around 60 of the least fairly funded local authorities, which will mean that every local area will attract at least a minimum level of funding for each of its pupils and schools. As Staffordshire already attracts funding above these levels, it will not receive additional money as part of these proposals. Staffordshire receives funding on a per pupil basis, so the amount allocated to schools in Staffordshire will increase in line with demographic growth.</p><p>Schools in Staffordshire local authority received over £22 million of pupil premium funding in 2013-14. This is a significant Government investment in addition to mainstream school funding. Friend, the Minister for the Cabinet Office, gave a commitment to put an annual report before Parliament on progress against objectives set out in the strategy.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>The Minister for the Cabinet Office gave the second annual report on 12 December 2013 (Official Report, Column 43WS to 47 WS). The Minister for the Cabinet Office also placed before Parliament a list of achievements over the proceeding year and a document that outlines its forward plans, priorities and some key initiatives to be taken forward. This includes work undertaken within objective one of the strategy including the Cyber Crime Reduction Partnership. Road congestion is measured in the Department by morning peak speeds, defined as 7am to 10am. The Government took the decision to make use of a number of time-limited exemptions, including one exempting drivers from mandatory disability awareness training. <strong> </strong>However, we committed to review the use of this exemption in March 2014. </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>In order to inform the review, my Noble Friend, the Minister of State for Transport, Baroness Kramer wrote to the bus and coach industry on 24<sup>th</sup> February to establish the structure and effectiveness of disability awareness training courses used by various organisations and to assess whether a significant upward trend in the provision of disability awareness training amongst drivers has occurred since the exemption's application.
