Within these contracts, there is a requirement for an annual boiler service in all Service Family Accommodation (SFA).</p><p> </p><p>In Financial Year 2022-23, Defence Infrastructure Organisation (DIO) invested £73 million of the £176 million SFA improvement budget, which includes providing 600 properties with new boilers.</p><p> </p><p>There are 47,396 boilers in SFA, as of December 2022, 76% (35,855) are less than 10 years old and 24% (11,541) are over 10 years old.</p><p> </p><p>DIO operates a three strike boiler programme. If a boiler is over 10 years old and fails three times in 12 months, it is replaced on the third fail. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 15/03/2023 answer text <p>The Office for Health Improvement and Disparities is pushing forward an ambitious prevention agenda, encompassing targeted actions to tackle the most common preventable diseases, improving access and uptake of prevention services, and embedding prevention across health and care. For example, encouraging people in mid-life to stop smoking, reduce their alcohol consumption and improve their diet to help reduce the risk of developing dementia, disability and frailty in later life.</p><p>The NHS Health Check detects people at risk of developing cardiovascular disease. Compared to people who have not attended an NHS Health Check, attendees have significantly lower likelihood of hospital admissions for cardiovascular disease and type 2 diabetes. This reduces individuals’ risk of ill health later in life.</p><p>Finally, the Government recently announced that it will publish a Major Conditions Strategy which will set out a strong and coherent policy agenda that sets out a shift to integrated, whole-person care. The Strategy will tackle conditions that contribute most to morbidity and mortality across the population in England including cancers, cardiovascular disease, including stroke and diabetes, chronic respiratory diseases, dementia, mental ill health and musculoskeletal conditions. There is, at present, no single, established dataset that can be used to monitor the number of attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) diagnoses nationally.</p><p>Data from the Mental Health of Children and Young People in England, 2017 reported that about one in sixty (1.6%) of five- to 19-year-olds were identified as having a hyperactivity disorder. This was an estimate based on a sample. We are appalled by reports of the regime's increased suppression of religious minorities. The UK has already sanctioned the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) in its entirety alongside multiple IRGC Commanders responsible for human rights violations in Iran. Nonetheless, decisions on opening and closing branches are a commercial issue for banks and building societies. The Government does not intervene in these decisions or make direct assessments of these branch networks.</p><p> </p><p>Guidance from the Financial Conduct Authority sets out its expectation of firms when they are deciding to close their branches. Firms are expected to carefully consider the impact of planned branch closures on the everyday banking and cash access needs of their customers and consider possible alternative access arrangements. This ensures that the implementation of closure decisions is undertaken in a way that treats customers fairly.</p><p> </p><p>Alternative options for access can be via telephone banking, through digital means such as mobile or online banking, and the Post Office. The Post Office Banking Framework allows 99% of personal banking and 95% of business banking customers to deposit cheques, check their balance and withdraw and deposit cash at 11,500 Post Office branches in the UK. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 17/03/2023 answer text <p>The Government has assessed the link between the volume-based rebate payments in our medicine pricing schemes and various kinds of investment in our impact assessment of recent updates to the statutory scheme for branded medicines pricing, which operates alongside the voluntary scheme for branded medicines pricing and access (VPAS). The Government’s 2023 impact assessment of updates to the statutory scheme is available at the following link:</p><p><a href="https://www.gov.uk/government/consultations/proposed-update-to-the-2023-statutory-scheme-to-control-the-costs-of-branded-health-service-medicines" target="_blank">https://www.gov.uk/government/consultations/proposed-update-to-the-2023-statutory-scheme-to-control-the-costs-of-branded-health-service-medicines</a></p><p>The Government is working to better understand the impacts the operation of the current VPAS has on the United Kingdom life sciences industry. We are in direct conversations with pharmaceutical companies, including in the recent pre-negotiation workshops, as well as with the Department for Science Innovation and Technology and Department for Business and Trade about the business environment for life sciences.</p><p>With regard to the impact of price regulation on the placement of clinical trials in the UK and access to new medicines, the Government’s assessment is that price control schemes in general are more likely to impact decisions about the location of late-stage than early-stage trials, as the location of late-stage trials may be more influenced by commercial considerations about where to launch a new medicine. However, VPAS includes strong commercial incentives to launch new products in the form of freedom of list pricing and exemptions from payments for innovative medicines containing a new active substance. These incentives have contributed to VPAS driving significant improvements in patient access to clinically and cost-effective medicines, whilst ensuring sustainable and predictable spend growth for the National Health Service and industry during a period of economic uncertainty.</p><p>With regard to income received under the schemes for the NHS, the income from VPAS helps to ensure that the branded medicines bill remains affordable for the NHS.</p> answering member constituency Colchester answering member printed Will Quince question first answered 17/03/2023 14:24:22 answering member 4423 label Biography information for Will Quince
