answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 07/06/2021 answer text <p>The Government is exploring a range of different measures aimed at tackling the criminal abuse of mobile telecommunications across a range of different crime types including fraud.</p><p>As set out in our Economic Crime Plan (<a href="https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/economic-crime-plan-2019-to-2022" target="_blank">https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/economic-crime-plan-2019-to-2022</a>), we are clear that a public- private partnership is essential in tackling fraud. Government, telecommunications providers, law enforcement, regulators, including Ofcom, and consumer groups are in regular conversation with the aim of protecting the public from these crimes. Creating clear air between genuine HMRC communications and those attempting to abuse the HMRC brand to commit fraud is a high priority for HMRC. I know that the restrictions on singing are frustrating to large numbers of amateur choirs and performance groups across the country and that many people have made sacrifices in order to drive down infections and protect the NHS over the last year. I can assure you that everyone across Government wants to ease these restrictions as soon as possible.</p><p><strong> </strong></p><p>However, it is important that we take a cautious approach in easing restrictions. We have followed the views of public health experts on singing. We are aware, through the <a href="https://assets.publishing.service.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/905062/S0628_NERVTAG_Assessment_of_transmission_of_COVID-19_through_musical_events.pdf" target="_blank">NERVTAG</a> and <a href="https://chemrxiv.org/articles/preprint/Comparing_the_Respirable_Aerosol_Concentrations_and_Particle_Size_Distributions_Generated_by_Singing_Speaking_and_Breathing/12789221" target="_blank">PERFORM studies</a> that singing can increase the risk of COVID-19 transmission through the spread of aerosol droplets. This was backed up by a <a href="https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/pheemg-aerosol-and-droplet-generation-from-singing-wind-instruments-and-performance-activities-13-august-2020" target="_blank">consensus statement from SAGE</a>, resulting in the <a href="https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/covid-19-suggested-principles-of-safer-singing/covid-19-suggested-principles-of-safer-singing" target="_blank">suggested principles of safer singing</a> being published.</p><p> </p><p>We will continue to keep guidance and restrictions under review, in line with the changing situation. As part of this expansion, which was completed in September 2020, we opened five new medical schools across the country.</p><p><strong> </strong></p><p>The Government currently has no plans to increase the number of funded medical school places beyond this. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 28/05/2021 answer text <p>The Government is committed to ensuring there are sufficient staff numbers to meet England’s workforce requirements, including taking account of demographic changes. At a national level, the Government is committed to expanding the supply of the National Health Service workforce and we are on track to deliver 50,000 more nurses by the end of this Parliament.</p><p> </p><p>We have opened five new medical schools across England and are committed to funding an extra 1,500 undergraduate medical school places per year at English universities or a 25% increase, taking the total number of medical school training places in England to 7,500 each year. This expansion was completed in September 2020. Retention is also a key focus the NHS People Plan.
