This unit identified PPE suppliers from across the globe to meet the increasing demand for a growing list of PPE products. We have now contracted with over 150 suppliers able to deliver at the scale and pace the United Kingdom requires.</p><p> </p><p>The central database system for these new PPE contracts, implemented by Cabinet Office colleagues, does not identify non-UK suppliers by individual country; and many of the UK-based suppliers also import supplies from other countries for which the information is not held centrally. It is therefore not possible to supply complete information on how much PPE has been received or purchased from non-UK countries, including China. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 18/05/2020 answer text <p>Our response to Covid-19 needs to be UK-wide and that is why UKG has so far announced almost £7 billion of additional funding to the devolved administrations to support people, business and public services in Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. This means £3.5 billion for the Scottish Government, £2.1 billion for the Welsh Government and £1.2 billion for the Northern Ireland Executive.</p><p> </p><p>This is in addition to the UK-wide measures that the people and businesses in Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland will benefit from, including the Job Retention Scheme, Self-Employment Income Support Scheme and Business Interruption Loan Scheme.</p><p> </p><p>Following agreement with the devolved administrations, the Department of Health and Social Care is procuring tests, Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and ventilators on a UK-wide basis. In the unlikely event that there is a seriously unwell passenger on a flight, the Public Health England (PHE) Health Control Unit at Heathrow Airport in London will be informed. If the unwell passenger has COVID-19 like symptoms then on arrival they will be advised to self-isolate for 7 days and if symptoms worsen to call NHS111. All passengers will be provided with information leaflets and appropriate posters are on display on arrival in the UK about following Government’s social distancing guidance.</p><p>In the white paper published on 11 May, ‘The UK Government’s COVID-19 recovery strategy’, the Government sets out the plan for managing the risks of transmissions being introduced from abroad. The paper states that: ‘<em>Alongside increased information about the UK’s social distancing regime at the border, the Government will require international arrivals to supply their contact and accommodation information. They will also be strongly advised to download and use the NHS contact tracing app. </em></p><p><em>All international arrivals to the UK not on a short list of exemptions will be required to self-isolate in their accommodation for fourteen days. Small exemptions to these measures will be in place to provide for continued security of supply into the UK and so as not to impede work supporting national security or critical infrastructure. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 20/05/2020 answer text <p>The response to COVID-19 is a national effort and we are committed to working closely with the devolved administrations to align and coordinate testing efforts, where possible. This includes ensuring Wales receives its fair share of proprietary test kits.</p><p>In March 2020, Roche Diagnostics UK approached the United Kingdom Government to advise that it had a newly licensed COVID-19 polymerase chain reaction (PCR) test, which would shortly be available for use in the UK. Initial weekly test availability was 35,000 for the United Kingdom. Public Health England was commissioned by the UK Government to establish a public-private partnership with Roche to deliver this and it was agreed that it would be a UK-wide solution.
