answer text <p>Police funding is increasing by over £1 billion in 2019/20, compared to 2018/19, including council tax, extra grant funding for pensions costs, and the serious violence fund. Total police funding is increasing by around £2 billion between 2015/16 and 2019/20.</p><p><br>The North Wales Police and Crime Commissioner’s (PCC) total funding is £155.8 million in 2019/20, an increase of £9.4 million compared to 2018/19. answer text <p>Wales Office Ministers and I meet regularly with colleagues from the Department for Work and Pensions on an array of issues including those facing disabled people in Wales.</p><p>The percentage of working age adults in Wales who live in a household where there was someone with a disability that were in relative poverty has fallen 3 percentage points when compared with two years earlier.</p><p>We are committed to supporting disabled people across the UK, and under this Government around 1 million disabled households will gain on average around £100 more per month on Universal Credit than on legacy benefits.</p> more like this

answer text <p>The annual English Housing Survey collects home ownership data (including, since 2015-16, NS-SEC data) and the most recent report showed that the rate of home ownership for 35-44 years olds has increased for the first time in over a decade. The changes in home ownership rate between 2015-16 and 2016-17 for each NS-SEC classification, including the decline for routine occupations, is not statistically significant. We will continue to monitor this closely as further data is collected.</p> more like this

answer text <p>The Cabinet Office has a retirement policy on how employees should prepare for<br>retirement. It also provides pensions awareness sessions, supported by a member help<br>centre which is run by MyCSP, and plans to run financial education sessions in November<br>2019</p><p>The Cabinet Office wellbeing action plan enables support for all staff, including those near<br>retirement. A number of key initiatives which support people transitioning to retirement<br>include: running leadership wellbeing training for all Senior Civil Servants, updating line<br>manager training to ensure wellbeing is included in all conversations, embedding wellbeing<br>into the Senior Civil Service leadership objective and including wellbeing in performance<br>management monthly conversation tools</p><p>There are a number of support services available in Cabinet Office that provide support or<br>advice to all employees, and would be of benefit to those nearing retirement. These<br>include the Cabinet Office alumni network, the Cabinet Office listening service and the<br>employee assistance programme</p><p>Civil Service Learning also offers learning opportunities for all Civil Servants planning for<br>retirement, including a day-long workshop on this subject.</p>

answer text <p>Departmental support for staff transitioning into retirement includes a Pre Retirement learning event, provided via Civil Service Learning, which raises awareness of available information and resources, supports proactive planning for making the most of retirement and awareness of how to claim Civil Service and state pensions.</p><p>All staff in the Department who are part of the Civil Service Pension Scheme, have access to MyCSP, the Civil Service pension provider, which provides online resources and tools, such as the Retirement Modeller and a Pension Portal and also provides individual pension advice over the phone.</p><p>The Department also offers and wherever possible, supports staff requests for partial retirement to support individual needs and also as a transition to future retirement.</p> more like this

answer text <p>In their transition to retirement staff are invited to attend a Civil Service pre-retirement course focusing on many topics including wellbeing, activities, pension and other finances. They also have access to an Employee Assistance Programme free of charge that can provide information and support relating to retirement including preparation, change, relationships, staying active, benefit entitlement and wills. They may also be able to take partial retirement in order to reduce their working hours and ease them into retirement.</p><p> </p><p>HM Treasury encourages staff throughout their careers to maintain good physical and mental wellbeing and work life balance. Much information, support and activities are available to them including:</p><p> </p><ul><li>Mental health awareness training;</li><li>Various Networks including a Mental Wellbeing Network and an Age Network that champions older workers;</li><li>Occupational Health (providing information on healthy lifestyle and eating);</li><li>On-site gym and activity classes;</li><li>Sports and Social Club offering a wide variety of sport activities that can be accessed following retirement.</li></ul><p> </p><p>HM Treasury also encourages volunteering that can continue into retirement, which can give those approaching retirement a sense of purpose going forward.</p>
