We will also take account of the arrangements in Scotland and Northern Ireland where air weapons are subject to a licensing regime. Access to and from the South West has been further improved with completion of a Smart Motorway upgrade of the M5 from Junctions 4a (Droitwich Spa) to Junction 6 (Worcester) completed in Spring 2017.</p><p> </p><p>There are no plans within the current Road Investment Strategy (RIS) (2015 – 2020) to upgrade further sections of the M5 to a smart motorway. Highways England continue to engage with local authorities and other interested parties on future changes to the network. At present, this enables the United Kingdom to respond quickly to serious risks to public health relating to food and animal feed. The Government is considering the best approach for the management of notification of food and feed safety risks once we have left the EU. It will be our priority to maintain the UK’s high standards of food and feed safety, and continue to be able to provide a timely response to food safety incidents.
