answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 05/04/2019 answer text <p>The Home Office does not hold this information.</p><p><br>The NCA Missing Persons Unit publishes annual statistical data on police reported missing incidents. The most recent report was published in December 2017 and covered the 20015/16 reporting year. Data from 37 police forces showed there had been 43,564 incidents of children missing from care. Of these police forces, 34 returned data on missing individuals, relating to 10,681 individual children go missing. The review is exploring how head teachers use exclusion, and why pupils with particular characteristics are more likely to be excluded from school.</p><p>The review has gathered substantial evidence, including over 900 submissions to the call for evidence.
