answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 17/11/2016 answer text <p>The Government has now implemented all of the Wood Review recommendations and established the Oil and Gas Authority as a strong, independent regulator focused on maximising economic recovery of the UK Continental Shelf (UKCS). This in turn will help to drive investment and support jobs. The Oil and Gas Authority is working hard with industry to facilitate greater collaboration across the UKCS, increase efficiencies, and promote the industry in the UK and abroad.</p><p>In the last two Budgets, the Government has provided a £2.3bn package of support to ensure the UK has one of the most competitive oil and gas tax regimes in the world, protecting jobs and investment. As part of this, we have contributed £40 million to fund two new seismic campaigns to help encourage exploration activity. This includes cars as well as other vehicles, such as buses. Our £30m Low Emission Bus Scheme is funding the delivery of over 320 Low Emission Buses – of which 86 are fully electric buses – from 2016 to 2019. A further £3.2m worth of supporting infrastructure will be funded under the scheme.</p><p> </p><p>The Departments for Transport and for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs are working closely with the Committee on the Medical Effects of Air Pollutants, the Department for Health and Public Health England to consider all evidence on the medical impacts of air pollution. This means that EEA, Swiss and UK nationals continue to have the same rights and status that they had before the referendum.</p><p>The government will provide strong and proven leadership as Britain begins its negotiations to leave the European Union and forge a new role for ourselves in the world. We will work hard to get the right deal: one that is unique to Britain and not an ‘off the shelf’ solution. This must mean controls on the numbers of people who come to Britain from Europe - but also a positive outcome for those who wish to trade in goods and services.</p><p>We are about to begin these negotiations and it would be wrong to set out further positions in advance. We are also not going to provide a running commentary on every twist and turn of these negotiations.
