answer text <p>The financial statements for the year ended 31 August 2016 for Sandymoor School (published on 5 January 2017), made reference to a deficit of £522,760. The school and their auditors have confirmed that this was an error.</p><p>Sandymoor School has since corrected this error and filed updated financial statements for the year ended 31 August 2016 at Companies House on 11 April 2017. The updated statements have also been published on the school’s website. The updated statements confirm that the school had a cumulative surplus on recurrent funds of £173,401 at the end of 2015/16.</p><p> </p><p> </p> more like this

answer text <p>The Work and Health Programme will provide targeted support to disabled people, including individuals with long term health conditions. We expect providers will take a holistic approach when supporting this claimant group into work. By ensuring that wider barriers to employment are tackled, individuals have a better chance of finding, securing and retaining employment.</p><p>These barriers will include linking up with health, social care and other local and specialist services to meet health needs, including services supporting people with autism if this is one of the barriers to work, but the focus will be on overcoming the key barriers to employment not just health support.</p> more like this

answer text <p>The EFA has not requested a recovery plan from the Trust, nor has it arranged for any advance of funding for them. This appears to be a mistake made by the auditors on the financial statements of the Trust. The EFA is urgently pursuing this apparent anomaly with the Trust and their auditors.</p> more like this

The Progress 8 score in summer 2016 was -1.1 which is significantly below the LA average of 0.19 and the national average of 0. Only 33% of pupils achieved Grade C or above in English &amp; maths (LA: 60.2%, National: 59.3%).</p><p> </p><p>The pension deficit of the Trust for 2015/16 is £295,000.</p><p> </p><p>The latest published financial statements for Sandymoor Free School 2015/16 show a cumulative carry forward surplus of £197,632.</p> more like this
